Activating an Archived Campaign

Activating an archived campaign lets you resume it without recreating anything. Once active again, the campaign will send messages or start flows using its existing events and settings. Reactivation only affects future executions and does not replay messages or flows that were missed while the campaign was archived.

Quick setup checklist

Follow these steps to reactivate a paused campaign and confirm it is running again.

  1. Open the archived campaigns list
  2. Select the campaign to activate
  3. Activate the campaign
  4. Verify it appears in active campaigns
  5. Troubleshoot common issues

Open the archived campaigns list

Click the Campaigns tab in the main navigation. In the left-hand sidebar, click Archived to view all archived campaigns.

Before you begin

  • The campaign must already be archived
  • All campaign events and settings are preserved while archived
  • Reactivation affects future executions only

Important: Reactivating a campaign does not resend messages or flows that were missed while the campaign was archived.

Select the campaign to activate

Locate the campaign you want to activate, then check the box to the left of the campaign name.

Activate the campaign

Click the Activate icon that appears above the campaign list. The selected campaign is activated immediately.

Result

  • The campaign resumes normal operation
  • Existing campaign events run according to their configuration
  • No historical messages or flows are replayed

Verify it appears in active campaigns

After activation, return to the active campaigns view and confirm the campaign is listed.

  1. Go back to the Campaigns page.
  2. Ensure the Active campaigns view is selected.
  3. Confirm the reactivated campaign appears in the active list.

Common issues

I don’t see the Activate icon

Possible cause: No archived campaign is selected.

Fix: Check the box next to a campaign to enable the Activate option.

The campaign didn’t send messages after activation

Possible causes: Contacts no longer meet campaign requirements (for example, missing date fields), or campaign events are configured far in the future.

Fix: Review campaign events and ensure contacts qualify.

I activated the wrong campaign

Explanation: Activation is reversible.

Fix: Archive the campaign again if it should not be active.
