Displaying Key Fields: The “Featured” Contact Fields

A “Featured” contact field is a field you mark to appear prominently at the top of a contact’s profile (and sometimes as visible columns in the Contacts list), so your team can quickly see the most important data for each person, with only non-empty values showing until a field is populated.

Feature key contact fields in a few steps

If you just need the essentials, follow this:

  1. Open Contacts → Fields to access Manage Contact Fields
  2. Select the field you want to highlight
  3. Enable Featured (Featured field) and Save
  4. Open a contact profile to confirm the field appears at the top (when it has a value)
  5. If needed, add a value via manual edit, a flow, or an import

You’re done. Your most important contact data will be easier to spot during review and support.

Step-by-Step Process

1
Understand what a Featured contact field is

A Featured contact field is a field that appears at the top of an individual contact’s profile so you can quickly see the most important information for that contact.
For example, you might feature fields like Age, Registration Date, or Gender.

Featured fields can also appear as columns on the main Contacts list (depending on your workspace view).

  2. Enable Featured (Featured field), then Update/Save.
  3. To remove a field from Featured, uncheck Featured and save.

4
Confirm how Featured fields display on contacts

  • You can feature as many fields as you like.
  • Only fields that have a value for that contact will display (empty/null fields won’t appear).

⚙️
Note: If a featured field is blank for a contact, it won’t appear on that contact’s profile until it has a value.

5
Populate missing values when needed

If a featured field isn’t showing for a specific contact, confirm the field has a value. You can set values manually on the contact,
write them via a flow (Update Contact), or import values in bulk.

Common Issues & Quick Fixes

Problem: A featured field doesn’t show on a contact.

Fix: The field value is likely empty (null). Set a value for that field (manually on the contact, via a flow, or via import) and check the profile again.

Problem: I can’t find the Featured option.

Fix: Open the field settings by clicking the field name in Contacts → Fields. If the option still isn’t available, confirm your user permissions for contact configuration.
