Deleting a Group from Your Workspace

Deleting a contact group permanently removes the group from your workspace. This is useful when a group is no longer needed or was created by mistake. Deleting a group does not delete contacts, but it can impact any flows, campaigns, or broadcasts that reference the group.

Before You Begin

Before deleting a contact group, keep in mind:

  • The group must already exist
  • Deleting a group does not delete contacts
  • Any flows, campaigns, or broadcasts referencing the group may be affected
Warning: If a group is used in active flows, campaigns, or broadcasts, deleting it may cause those configurations to stop working as expected.

Open the Contacts Section

Navigate to the Contacts tab in the main navigation.

Open the Group Menu

Locate the group you want to delete and click the menu icon (☰) next to the group name.

Delete the Group

From the menu, select Delete, then confirm the deletion when prompted.

Warning: Once confirmed, the group is immediately and permanently deleted.

After Deletion

After deleting a group:

  • The group is removed from the group directory
  • Contacts previously in the group remain in the workspace
  • Any references to the group in flows or campaigns are removed or may cause errors
Tip: If you may need the group again later, consider removing contacts from the group instead of deleting it.

Common Issues

I don’t see the Delete option

Possible cause: The group menu was not opened.

Fix: Click the ☰ menu icon next to the group name.

A flow or campaign stopped working

Explanation: The deleted group was referenced in a flow or campaign.

Fix: Update the flow or campaign to remove or replace the group reference.
