User Profile Settings: Update Your Info, Password, and Two-Factor Authentication

Each user can manage their own account information, independent of their permissions on individual workspaces. This includes updating personal details, changing login credentials, managing connected accounts, and enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for added security.

Quick Setup Checklist

Use these steps to update your personal account details, login credentials, and security settings.

  1. Open your User Account settings from the top-left menu.
  2. Update your profile details (name and profile picture).
  3. Change your email address and confirm it.
  4. Change your password (or use the reset flow).
  5. Review connected accounts and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  6. Troubleshoot common email and access issues.

Access your User Account settings

  1. Click your account initials in the top-left corner of the interface.
  2. Select Account from the dropdown menu.
  3. You will be taken to the Edit User page.

Update your profile

Edit name and profile picture

  1. In the Profile section, update your first name and/or last name.
  2. (Optional) Upload a profile picture.
  3. Click Save to apply changes.

Change your email address

  1. Click Change your email.
  2. Enter a valid email address you can access.
  3. Submit the change.
  4. Open the confirmation email sent to the new address.
  5. Click the confirmation link to finalize the update.

Note: If you don’t see the confirmation email, check your Spam or Trash folder.

Change your password

  1. Click Change your password.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Set and confirm a new password.
  4. Save your changes.

Forgot your password?

  1. Click Forgot password?
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Use the password reset link sent to your inbox.

Manage connections and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Account connections

The Account connections section shows any third-party services linked to your RapidPro account. These connections can be used to simplify or speed up login.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  1. Go to the Two-factor authentication section.
  2. Follow the setup steps to enable 2FA.
  3. Once enabled, you’ll be prompted for a second verification factor when logging in.

Common Issues & Fixes

I didn’t receive the email confirmation or reset email

Possible cause: The email was filtered.

Fix: Check Spam or Trash folders and ensure the email address is correct.

I can’t change my email or password

Possible cause: Session expired or incorrect current password.

Fix: Refresh the page, log in again, and retry. Use password recovery if needed.

I don’t see Account settings

Explanation: Account settings are accessed from the user menu, not workspace settings.

Fix: Click your initials in the top-left corner and select Account.
