Navigating the Flow Editor

The flow editor serves as your primary workspace for designing and modifying flows. Each time you create or select a flow, you will access this editing environment:

Key Components of the Flow Editor

  1. Flow Name
The identifier assigned to the flow during its creation.

  2. Create Message Button
This button generates a new node. While we typically suggest initiating flows with a Send Message action, other actions or Split Actions might better suit your specific requirements.

  3. Start Flow Button
Click this button to initiate contacts within the flow. You can select individual contacts or multiple groups, with options to filter by:

    • Inactive Contacts: Those who haven’t messaged within a customizable period (default 90 days)

    • Contacts not in other flows: Prevents interruption of active flows

    • Contacts absent from this flow: Allows re-entry after 90 days

4. Settings Menu

This menu provides several management options:

  • Results: Review performance metrics and outcomes for the current flow

  • Edit: Modify the flow’s name, configure keyword triggers, adjust expiration settings, or set keyword ignore rules

  • Copy: Create an exact duplicate of the flow

  • Delete: Permanently remove the flow (this action is irreversible)

  • Export & Import: Transfer flow configurations via JSON files between workspaces, including multilingual translations

Additional Features

  • The Simulator
This testing tool becomes available after creating your first node, allowing you to evaluate flows from an end-user perspective during development.

The simulator is a handy testing tool enabling you to test your flows from an end-user’s perspective as you build them. Once clicked, the simulator will initiate the first step of your flow.

  • Revision History
Access previous versions of your flow and restore earlier iterations if necessary.
