Adding Timeouts to a Flow

If a contact fails to respond to a message within a flow, you can configure a timeout to deliver an automated follow-up. This functionality enables you to send a reminder, inform contacts that they can restart the flow later, or perform other actions for those who are unresponsive—such as adding or removing them from a group, sending an email, and other options.

Functionality

In the following scenario, contacts were given a 5-minute window to answer the initial question in the flow.

Contacts who reply within the 5-minute limit will immediately receive the next message in the sequence. For those who do not respond within the allotted time, a “No Response” message can be sent.

In this instance, the automatic message informs contacts that they can restart the flow at any time by sending the specific keyword assigned to it.
