WhatsApp Templates Tab

To streamline your workflow, a new dedicated section has been integrated into the Messages tab, providing a centralized page that catalogs all your WhatsApp message templates. This list enables you to inspect individual templates, review their various elements, and confirm their approval status.

To locate your templates, first proceed to the Messages section on the left side of the Rapidpro App interface, then identify the Templates area:

Here, you will see a comprehensive list of all templates previously created for WhatsApp:

Selecting a specific template will reveal its detailed composition:

1. Header
2. Body
3. Channel
4. Language
5. Approval Status

Template Components

The platform is compatible with the following WhatsApp components:
Header – This can be configured as text or an image. For image headers, you may use the file selector to upload a file from your device. The capability to incorporate variables will be introduced shortly!

Body – This constitutes the main text of your template. It supports the use of variables and multiple language translations.

Footer – Footers are optional elements that appear directly beneath the body text, offering contacts supplementary information.

Buttons – These function as quick replies, permitting the contact to select an appropriate response with a click instead of manual typing.

Please note that not all template components offered by your channel provider may be supported. If a specific feature is unavailable, it will be indicated by an ‘unsupported’ approval status indicator.
