Searching for Contacts Currently in Flows

You have long had the capability to find contacts by constructing a query using a contact’s field values. The Rapidpro App now extends this functionality, allowing you to also locate contacts who are actively engaged in a specific flow, or conversely, those who are not in any flow at all.

Locating Contacts Active in a Flow

To find contacts currently within a particular flow, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Contacts section.

2. In the search field, enter the following query: flow = "the name of the flow"

For this demonstration, the objective is to view contacts in the flow named “test”:

Finding Contacts Not in Any Flow

You can use a similar method to search for contacts not presently participating in any flow.

1. Access the Contacts tab.

2. Execute a search for the query: flow = ""
