Managing your API Tokens

We have redesigned the API Token user interface to enhance security and improve usability. Moving forward, all new TextIt account holders will need to generate an API token explicitly during setup.

To view and manage your tokens, first access your workspace settings by selecting the gear icon in the lower left corner of your browser. Then, proceed to the ‘API Token‘ section.

Within this updated interface, you can:

• Generate new tokens

• Remove existing tokens

• Monitor the most recent usage date for each token

Why did we make this change?

Regularly rotating API tokens is a recommended security practice. This UI upgrade simplifies the process by centralizing token management—allowing you to create, delete, and track tokens effortlessly. You can now generate a new token, update it in any integrated applications, and safely retire previous tokens.
