Zapier makes it possible to connect over 1,000 applications—including Google Sheets, Slack, and Salesforce—without writing any code.

In essence, it allows you to create automated connections that transfer information between apps. For instance, you can use Zapier to:

  • Manage and validate coupons or vouchers using Google Sheets

  • Notify a Slack channel whenever a flow receives a response

  • Add contacts who complete a Typeform on your website directly into a flow

  • Send new Salesforce contacts into flows

  • Trigger flows from actions performed on your WordPress site through WordPress Integrations

How it Works

Zapier continuously monitors your applications for new activity, then launches triggers and actions based on the rules you configure. Each trigger–action combination is referred to as a zap. Some supported examples include:

Supported Zaps

Currently, the Zapier app for Rapidpro includes one trigger and one action, though more may be added based on user feedback.

  • Action – “Start Flow”: Initiates one or more contacts in a flow using data received from another application.

  • Trigger – “Flow Event”: Sends all data collected in a flow to the Call Zapier node, which then passes it along to the external app of your choice.
