Adding WhatsApp Templates to Broadcasts

It is now possible to incorporate your WhatsApp templates into Broadcast messages! This enhancement allows you to include Facebook and WhatsApp contacts in the same audience as all other contacts when distributing mass communications.

To dispatch a broadcast utilizing a template, first access the Broadcasts area within the Messages section:

Here, a history of all previously transmitted broadcast messages will be displayed:

Select ‘New Broadcast’ in the upper right corner and complete the dialog box with the intended recipients—either specific contacts or groups—along with the desired targeting parameters.

The audience targeting features enable you to:

  • Filter by activity: Restrict the audience to contacts who have initiated a conversation within the last 90, 180, or 365 days, helping you avoid messaging inactive users.
  • Exclude active flow participants: Omit contacts who are currently engaged in a flow. Since a contact can only be active in one messaging flow at a time, selecting this option prevents disruption. To initiate a flow without interrupting contacts in another, consider utilizing Background flows.

After clicking ‘Next’, you will compose the content of your Broadcast. A WhatsApp icon will be visible, allowing you to choose from your pre-approved templates via a dropdown menu, which will auto-populate the message.

Proceed by clicking ‘Next’ again to reach the scheduling dialog. Here, you can opt to send the message immediately, at a specified future time, or set up a recurring schedule.

This completes the process! For more detailed information on leveraging WhatsApp and administering your templates, please consult our help documentation.
