Adding an Instagram channel

To integrate an Instagram channel into your TextIt workspace, proceed with the following steps:

1. Establish a professional profile on Instagram. You must either create a business account or convert a personal profile to a professional one to access its full functionality.

Visit your Instagram profile and select the menu icon ☰ on the right. Then, navigate to settings, choose accounts, scroll to for professionals, click account type and tools **and select **switch to professional account at the bottom. For comprehensive guidance, click here.

2. If you don’t possess one, establish a Meta Business Suite (formerly Facebook Business Suite) profile and link your Instagram account to it.

Access your Meta Business Suite desktop version and in your settings from the left navigation menu, select Business Asset, then choose Instagram Accounts. Review the conditions and click Claim Instagram Account. For detailed procedures, consult this article.

3. Linking your Instagram profile to your Meta account does not automatically connect it to your Facebook page!

This will be your subsequent action. From your Instagram profile, click edit profile and under Public Business Information, choose page. You will be able to generate a new Facebook page or incorporate an existing one. View these procedures in greater detail here.

4. The final step for your Instagram configuration is to permit applications to access messages.

Visit your Instagram business profile, select the menu ☰ icon, then choose privacy. Scroll to locate messages, and under Connected Tools, activate allow access to messages. Additional information available here.

Once you have finalized all these procedures, you are prepared to incorporate your Instagram channel into your workspace. Select the settings icon, and click + New Channel to add a new channel. Scroll to locate Instagram:

Click add an Instagram business account. You will be prompted to verify your Facebook profile. Select Continue as “your name” at the bottom right to confirm and choose Get started.

Authenticate with your Instagram credentials to proceed to the next stage. It’s crucial to ensure you grant appropriate permissions to TextIt:

1. To access all current and future businesses, or to access only your current businesses and specify which one.
2. Ensure you select the correct checkbox for the page linked to your Instagram account.

Once completed, You should return to your workspace and see the Facebook page name you selected:

Select it and the page will be incorporated.
